Little Miss Headland 1966-67 – Ramona Gulledge is the daughter of Winford Gulledge (Headland) and the late Annette Gulledge (Headland) and the granddaughter of Willie & Lessie Gulledge (Headland, both deceased) and Clifton & Una Brown (Blue Springs, both deceased). She was a member of the Headland High School Class of 1977 but left after 10th grade and graduated from Hallie Turner & Riley Business College.
Ramona has been married 43 years to Danny Odom. She traveled with her husband as he served in the USMC for 20 years and as he taught ROTC in Abbeville, Headland & at Northview Schools. They both worked in the youth ministry at Old Zion Baptist (Abbeville) and Beulah Baptist (Dothan). She had a music ministry for over 20 years, loves to sing and still sings for the Lord every opportunity she has. Ramona and Danny have two children, a son, Cameron Odom who is married to Lindsey (Headland) and a daughter, Sandi Odom Murray who is married to Blake (Headland). They have 5 grandchildren, Connor (age 14) & Riley (age 10) Odom and Melody (age 9), Major (age 7) & Marshall (age 5) Murray. Both are retired and live in Headland.
Trivia: The year Ramona was crowned, the pageant was held in the Headland High School Gym. The following year in 1967, the Headland High School auditorium was built where she crowned her successor.
