The Headland Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated reaching its goal of more than 200 members during the Annual Membership Banquet on Thursday, January 17. Jeremy Arthur, President & CEO of the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama was the keynote speaker. His entertaining presentation highlighted many historical Chamber of Commerce connections from Al Capone to Miss America while stressing the importance of local Chambers. He also encouraged Headland to move forward towards downtown revitalization and becoming Main Street Alabama designated city.

2018 10 Ribbon Cutting Making Alabama Bicentennial Exhibit

The Making Alabama Bicentennial Exhibit ribbon cutting celebrated the historical exhibit which also included 100-year-old quilts loaned by Sherry Burkhaulter of Quilted Creations as well as other historical artifacts. Fresh squeezed lemonade, homemade teacakes and other delicious refreshments were served. Many thanks to the volunteers who helped make this event possible.

Henry County Probate Judge David Money and Headland Mayor Ray Marler kicked off the Henry County 200th Bicentennial celebration which will run throughout the remainder of 2018 and all of 2019.  This ongoing event is sponsored by the Abbeville Chamber of Commerce  and the Headland Area Chamber of Commerce.
