2019 04 17 grand opening the grille and oyster bar

Welcome to Headland and to the Chamber of Commerce! The Grille and Oyster Bar celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon-cutting on April 17. The 2019 Headland Pageants was conducted on Saturday, March 2nd at the Headland High Auditorium. This year marked the 60th Miss Headland Miss Headland pageant to be held. The pageant is sponsored by the Headland Area Chamber of Commerce.

2019 02 20 Eye Opener Gibson Distilling 1We had a great Eye Opener! Thank you Action Computer for hosting us at Gibson Distilling! We learned so much about the services Action Computer offers and a little bit about the distillery too.

Books-n-Brunch, part of Alabama and Henry County’s Bicentennial Celebration, was held on Saturday, February 16th at the Herndon Oil Co. Loft in Abbeville. This event was sponsored by the Abbeville Memorial Library, the Blanche Solomon Memorial Library, the Abbeville Chamber of Commerce, the Headland Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Henry County Bicentennial Committee.

Books-n-Brunch guests enjoyed breakfast casseroles and pastries why they listened to fourteen local authors share from both their life experiences and books. Book topics included fiction, non-fiction, poems, short stories, history, children’s books, Christian, and a coloring book. For more information about our local authors, stop by the library.
