2016 headland all stars dixie youth majors world series champs

The Headland 11&12 Year Old All Stars / Team Alabama won the championship game against Georgia 7-5 earlier today in the Dixie Youth Majors World Series in Laurel, Mississippi. The City of Headland and community will have a "Welcome Home Celebration" for our World Series Champs at the downtown square tonight at 7:00pm. Please join us as we congratulate these fine young men!!!

Members of the team are Jake Johnson, Luke Nelson, James Evan Trammell, Justin Murphy, Cooper Weeks, Jake Smith, Karson Reinhardt, Mason Steele, Weatherly, Taylor, Burke and Jordan. Jason Steele served as head coach, while Richard Reinhardt and Denny Steele were assistants.

Headland Bass Team Anglers Head to Kentucky Lake
to Compete in the 2016 Costa Bassmaster High School Championship

Headland Bass Team Anglers Addison Speigner, Gracie Herbold, Peyton McCord & Aaron Cherry will be taking to the waters August 1-7th on Kentucky Lake in Paris Tennessee to represent Headland at a chance to bring home the National Championship Title!

We could not be more proud to have them representing Headland Bass Team and our hometown of Headland, Al. We greatly appreciate the support that has been shown to our team. Each of you make this possible for our anglers and we are forever thankful! Please join us in prayers of safety for travels on and off the water.

Alabama beat Georgia 7-5 to win the 2016 Dixie Youth Majors World Series Thursday morning in Laurel, MS. Congratulations to our Headland Dixie Youth Majors team for aa great season! We are proud of you!

The Headland 11/12-year-old All-Star Baseball Team recently won the Dixie Youth Majors State Tournament and will now represent the state as Team Alabama in the Dixie Youth World Series starting on August 5th! They will be traveling to Laurel, Mississippi for a week of baseball and are sure to make memories that will last a lifetime! Please help us send them off with a recognition celebration on August 2, 2016 at 6:30pm on the square in Downtown Headland.

2016 headland dixie majors going to world series

On Saturday night, Headland’s 11-12 all-star baseball team routed the Texas state champions 14-0 in four innings at the Dixie Youth Majors World Series in Laurel, Miss.

On Sunday night, Headland, defeated South Carolina 9-0 to remained unbeaten after two games in the Dixie Youth Majors (ages 11-12) World Series.

Headland defeated Florida 6-3 late Monday night to remain unbeaten and is scheduled to play Georgia, also unbeaten thus far in the tourney, at 12:30pm on Tuesday.

Georgia defeated Headland 3-0 Tuesday afternoon in the Headland Dixie Majors World Series semi-final game. Headland plays Florida on Wednesday morning at 9am in the losers bracket.

Headland beat Florida 9-3 Wednesday morning at the Dixie Youth Majors World Series in Laurel, MS.  They play undefeated Georgia at 2pm.

Alabama held on to beat Georgia 7-6 in the Dixie Youth Majors World series Wednesday afternoon in Laurel, MS. They play at 9am on Thursday for the World Series Championship.  Alabama will be the home team.
