The First Annual Gemmy Awards held February 25, 2021 on the Square. The Headland Area Chamber of Commerce with the support of the City of Headland, Alabama - Government, HNB FIRST Bank, Wallace Community College , Headland Municipal Airport, Hometown Foods & Willy D's in Headland, Do South Interiors, Donald Smith Company Inc, Kelly Woodham, Realtor-Forrest & Fields Inc., Kingdom College, Headland Lions Club, PeoplesSouth Bank, and SunStop Market of Headland. It was a beautiful day to have our outdoor luncheon, catered by The Bottle Tree in Headland, and the 80 plus attendees. The Chamber Board also recognized Executive Director Adrienne Wilkins by honoring her with the Heart of Headland Award! The first ever of its kind for her actions in 2020 for the community of Headland.

Your Headland Area Chamber of Commerce is ready to celebrate the successes of 2020 and welcome 2021. We have made some changes to our Annual Awards Banquet due to the challenges and concerns of COVID-19. We felt it was important to come together to recognize our outstanding members, celebrate community victories and show the commitment of our chamber and to do so safely.

This year's event will be an outdoor luncheon held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 11am on the Headland Square. The gazebo will be the center of activity. We have expanded our awards and will have “boxed” lunches from The Bottle Tree at no cost to event attendees.
